Indian-origin student Shreyas Reddy Benigeri found dead in Ohio, third case in two weeks sparks concern
An Indian-origin student was found dead in Ohio state of the US, leaving the community shocked.
He was identified as Shreyas Reddy Benigeri.
The cause of the death is still not known.
The Indian Embassy in New York said it felt deeply saddened by the death of the Indian student.
The Embassy posted on X, "Deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of Mr. Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student of Indian origin in Ohio. Police investigation is underway. At this stage, foul play is not suspected."

This is the third Indian-origin student found dead in the US in the span of two weeks.
Case of Vivek Saini
Another Indian-origin man was killed by a homeless man inside a store in the US city of Lithonia on Monday.
He was identified as 25-year-old Vivek Saini.

Witnesses told WSB-TV Saini was attacked with a hammer by a homeless man at the Chevron Food Mart at Snapfinger and Cleveland Road in Lithonia.
Police identified him as 53-year-old Julian Faulkner.
“He asked us for chips, and coke. We gave him everything including the water,” a worker of the store told WSB-TV.
Curious case of Neel Acharya
An Indian-origin student, who went missing on Saturday (January 27, 2024), was found dead in the US state of Indiana.

Neel Acharya was a double major in computer science and data science at the John Martinson Honors College of Purdue University.
