Bhaag Modi Bhaag, says Derek after AAP wins Delhi
"To paraphrase a tasteless slogan BJP uses in #Bengal, let me say: The people of Delhi said today, 'Bhaag Modi Bhaag'. #DelhiDecides #replug," O'Brien tweeted.
A similar phrase 'Bhaag Mamata Bhaag', directed to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is often used by the BJP in the wake of the multi crore Saradha chit fund scam here.
The comment came after a tsunami hit Delhi Assembly polls in the form of Arvind Kejriwal as his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) knocked down Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress to register a landslide victory in the national capital to form a government for the second time.
Winning 67 seats out of the total 70, the AAP surpassed the figures that were projected by exit polls on Saturday when Delhi had voted to elect a new Assembly.
Starting another innings in his political career, Kejriwal, who had shocked Delhi by resigning as the Delhi Chief Minister last year Feb only after 49 days in power, will take oath on Saturday.
