Bihar: Goat rearing training for unemployed youth in Munger

Munger: Thirty-five unemployed boys and girls, drawn from rural parts of Bihar's Munger district, are now undergoing ten-day goat rearing training here, an official said on Sunday.

Director, UCO Rural Self Employment Traning Institute (Munger) Gautam Kumar said here that the trained youth would start goat farming business at their home.

The training camp teaches them about the well-characterised goat breeds, which will be more profitable in this business.

"All the trainees are being trained free of cost by the Union and the State governments. Besides, they get exercise -books, books on goat farming, midday meal and convenience charge to attend the training from the government," Kumar informed.

Suraj Kumar Nirala, a trainee, from Munger town, said that he will begin goat farming at his home with a loan from the bank after training.

Other trainees including Chandan Kumar Sharma, Nazmo Sahar were hopeful of starting their own goat farming business.
