Patna, Jan 24 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): A man from India’s Bihar state handed out divorce to his wife as she would not take regular bath.

As per reports, the woman who hails from Masaurhi block in Patna district was married to the man barely a year back.

The cracks in their relations surfaced as she avoided taking regular baths despite repeated advice by her husband as she would smell badly.

The story came to light when the State Women Commission summoned the husband after the woman reported the matter to the former.

“She ignored my advice for taking regular bath, and when I gave her shampoo to wash her hair, she would use it to clean bed-sheets,” the husband reportedly told the commission on Tuesday.

The commission has asked the warring couple to reach at compromise within a month failing which necessary action will be taken, reports said.
