Faridabad, Oct 16 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that corruption increased in Haryana whenever Congress came into power in the state.

Addressing a public meeting here, Shah said: 'Whenever Congress came to power in Haryana, corruption increased, hooliganism increased, casteism increased. When the BJP government came, everyone flourished, the entire Haryana developed and corruption ended,' he said.

Referring to abrogation of Article 370, he said the BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had fulfilled the wishes of the people of the country. 'Modi ji has given a strong message by removing Article 370 that this government will not let root of terrorism to remain inside this country,' Shah said.

'When the terrorists attacked in Pulwama and Uri, the BJP's Narendra Modi government ordered the army and our army entered Pakistan's territory and killed the terrorists and carried out surgical strikes and air strikes,' Union Home Minister said.

'The Manohar Lal Khattar government has made a successful effort to develop every society, every caste. Today every house in Haryana has a gas cylinder, Haryana is kerosene free, electricity has reached every house,' Shah said.

In the 13th Finance Commission, Haryana was given Rs 22,000 crore by the UPA government. In the 14th Finance Commission, the Narendra Modi government has given Rs 1,17,028 crore for the development of Haryana, Shah added.
