Don’t fall prey to Congress promises: BJP leader Anurag Thakur

Hamirpur (HP), Apr 13 (UNI) Calling upon the people not to fall prey to the promises made by the Congress leaders and workers, sitting MP and BJP candidate for the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat Anurag Thakur has expressed optimism that the party would sweep the elections in the state and form its government at the Centre once again.

Addressing reporters here on Friday night, the BJP leader said that Congress leaders and workers were busy in spreading false rumors against the saffron party.

He also took a dig at the former Himachal Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for claiming that the proposed survey of rail link between Una and Hamirpur was his baby.

"If Sukhu had any proof in this respect, he should show that to the masses through media", Anurag said, adding that a man who could not provide land to central school campus in Nadaun area of the Hamirpur district for 26 years cannot claim to have done a lot in field of railways.

Thakur said that it was the BJP government that provided land for the central school project and a sum of thirteen crore rupees were also sanctioned for that.
Replying to a question, he said that the resignation of Anil Sharma from the state cabinet would not cause any harm to the party as the BJP was well knit organization and had the capacity to win the election in its own at Mandi seat also.
