Kolkata: 18 students injured in school bus crash

Kolkata, Aug 22 (IBNS): At least 18 students of a Kolkata school were injured on Monday morning in city's Newtown area when their school-bus overturned after being hit by a speeding truck, reports said.

According to reports, a truck suddenly crashed into a Delhi Public School's bus, after losing control, near Akankhya crossing in Newtown and the school bus overturned after the accident.

All 18 students, inside the bus, were injured the mishap and rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to hospital reports, injured students were discharged after first aid.

After starting probe into the matter, police have detained the drivers of the bus and truck and seized both vehicles, officials said.
