Maharashtra: Farmer commits suicide in Nashik
Nashik, June 8 (UNI) A 72-year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Jambhulpada village of Peth taluka here, police informed on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Baburao Mahadu Kuvar, who was paralysed.
According to the Rural Police, the farmer apparently committed suicide on Friday as he was under mental stress owing to his ailment.
However, the exact reason which forced the deceased to take the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, stated police.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway to determine whether the deceased took loans, added police.
