Maharashtra: Teenager booked for raping minor in Palghar

Palghar, Mar 2 (UNI/IBNS) A 12-year-old boy from a village in Mokhada taluka of the district has been booked on the charges of repeatedly raping a minor.

The arrest was made on Friday, police said.

According to the victim, the accused was raping her since last four months.
He also used to threaten her of dire consequences if she revealed about the crime to anyone.

When the girl complained of stomach pain, her parents took her to a hospital, where doctor found that she was pregnant.

When asked, the victim told her parents about the ordeal she was undergoing.
The accused has been booked under sections 376,376(N)(I) of the IPC and also sections 2,5(J)(2),5(L)(6) of the POCSO Act of 2012, police said.
