Mamata supports those wishing to divide India: Amit Shah

| @indiablooms | May 01, 2019, at 06:14 pm

Bongaon, May 1 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on Wednesday charged West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Supremo (TMC) Mamata Banerjee with "supporting those who wish to divide India".

Shah said the TMC supremo has extended her support to those who wish to separate Kashmir from India.

He said the BJP will continue its fight to ensure that Kashmir remains an integral part of India, no matter who is in power at the Centre.

The BJP president said that Mamata has been using the illegal immigrants as 'vote bank' which is why she is opposing the NRC.

However, Shah promised to introduce National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the State if the Narendra Modi government is voted back to power.

He said the BJP was committed to protecting the interest of ‘Hindu refugees’ through the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

Shah said during UPA govt, West Bengal was given only Rs 1.32 lakh crore and during BJP led NDA govt, Bengal was allocated Rs 4.24 lakh crore.

However, the money and its benefit haven't reached the people because of widespread corruption in the state, Shah alleged.

The BJP president alleged not a single factory or industry has come up in Bengal since Mamata came to power. Only factories of bomb and guns have been established.
