Washington/IBNS: Reminiscing her visit to India, US First Lady Melania Trump on Friday said it was an honour for her to lay a wreath at Rajghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi.

In a tweet, she wrote: "It was an honor to lay a wreath at the beautiful Raj Ghat Memorial & plant a tree to remember the life & legacy of Mahatma Gandhi."

Earlier in the day, while remembering her Indian trip this week, she described the Taj Mahal as 'breathtaking'.

She thanked Sarvodaya School authority for welcoming her.

"Thank you Sarvodaya School for welcoming me with the lovely Tilak & Aarti tradition!" she said.

Trumps visited India this week for two days.
