Mobile internet services suspended in curfew-bound Srinagar after top militant's death

Srinagar, July 9 (IBNS) : Restrictions have been imposed in Pulwama district and parts of Srinagar city while, mobile internet services are suspended in Kashmir Valley following the killing of top Hizb ul Mujhadeen militant Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces on Friday.
As tension prevails all over Jammu and Kashmir, the   Amarnath Yatra  has been temporarily suspended, reports said.
 
Authorities have also  postponed the school board examinations which were scheduled to be held on Saturday.
 
“Mobile internet services and train services have also been suspended in Kashmir valley after the death of Burhan Wani,” said senior police officer in Srinagar to IBNS. 
 
Stones were pelted at the police by the crowd after Wani's death. A Massive funeral procession is also expected on Saturday.  
 
In Srinagar, restrictions have been imposed in areas falling under seven police stations which include Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, M.R. Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma, Kralkhud. 
 
With the suspension of the Amarnath Yatra, no pilgrim was allowed on Saturday to move from Jammu city to head for the holy Hindu shrine.
 
Meanwhile, authorities on Friday placed several Hurriyat leaders under house arrest to prevent them from leading rallies against the killing of Burhan Wani.
