Narendra Modi on his way out as PM : Mamata Banerjee at Dantan

| @indiablooms | May 05, 2019, at 05:23 pm

Dantan, May 5 (UNI) Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee today said,'Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way out and will not come back to power. '

Addressing an election rally here, Ms Banerjee said,'Narendra Modi’s ‘achhe din’ means atrocities against Muslims, farmers, Dalits and indulging in divisive politics."

'Earlier he was chaiwallah. For the past four and a half years he toured the world. And now, before elections, he has become chowkidar. But the chowkidar is actually a chor. Do you want such a chowkidar in power? ' she questioned.

'He only comes to Bengal and spreads falsehoods. He claims Durga Puja is not celebrated in the State. This is absolute lie. Festivals of all religions are celebrated here with equal fervour,' Ms Banerjee remarked and said,' Modi is the biggest danger for the country. The country can be saved only when Modi is ousted from power. '

'BJP is a party of rioters. They drive wedges between people. They only carry out armed rallies. Rioting and violence is not the work of a political leader. A true leader must work for the people,'she commented.

'Our government is always with you. Whenever our people face any distress, we help them. Not just during elections, we work for the people throughout the year,' the Trinamool supremo stated.

Calling upon the people to cast their votes in favour of the Trinamool, Banerjee said,'Cast your vote in this election to ensure Narendra Modi is ousted as PM. What has he done for the last five years? He must give an account to the people. '

'In the last five years, farmers have committed suicide, jobs were lost, prices of fuel and cooking gas are on the rise. They had promised to bring back black money from abroad and deposit Rs 15 lakh in every bank account. Has he fulfilled the promise?' she questioned.

'The houses which have been completely damaged by the cyclone, will be reconstructed by the government. The houses which have been partially damaged, will also be rebuilt. From multi super-speciality hospitals to mother and child hubs, ITIs to polytechnic colleges, new colleges to roads and bridges – we have taken several initiatives for the people,' the Chief Minister informed.

'We have taken up Ghatal Master Plan and Kapaleswar flood prevention plans, despite non-cooperation from the Centre. Earlier, in the name of Maoist andolan, people of this region suffered a lot. Not a single State has been able to tackle the Maoist problem. In the last seven years we have solved the Maoist problem in Jangalmahal. Earlier people led their lives in fear in Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram and other areas. Now, peace reigns in this region,' Ms Banerjee said.

'We have created the separate district of Jhargram, fulfilling a long-standing wish of the people. There can be no bigger satisfaction than ensuring that people get two square meals a day, a house to live,' she added.
