People have decided that BJP will serve Haryana: PM Narendra Modi

Dadri, Haryana, Oct 15 (UNI) Highlighting his party's achievements in Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the people have decided that the BJP will serve the northern state.

''This area of Haryana is connected to 4-5 National Highways, medical colleges are being constructed and all this is happening when double engine is at work -- Narendra Modi 's engine at the Centre and Manohar Lal Khattar's engine in Haryana,'' Modi said while addressing a rally in Haryana's Dadri district.

The Prime Minister also referred to a famous dialogue from the movie 'Dangal', which was based on the lives of Babita Phogat and Geeta Phogat. He said that in Haryana, 'Mahre Choree Choroon Say Kam Hey Ke' has become a campaign itself.

Modi said people of the state have come forward to make the campaign "Beti Bachao, Beti padhao' a success.

''This Diwali is dedicated to our daughters'', he said adding that ''Daughters look after our families, our society, and our country. They are enhancing the prestige of our country, their accompalishments should be praised,'' he said.

He stated that every person in Haryana says ''mhari chhori ke chhoro se kam hai' (Our daughters are no less than the sons).

Facilities are being provided to the players from villages to the Olympics. ''In 2013, when I came to Rewari, I had promised ex-servicemen to implement 'One Rank-One Pension' here.

As soon as the government was formed, this promise was fulfilled and around 19 lakh ex-soldiers across the country have benefited from it,'' Modi said.
''Water, which is the right of the farmers of the country, used to go to Pakistan for 70 years, Now Modi will stop it and bring it to your home,'' he said.

''Work has started on this. The farmers of this country are entitled to this,'' he added.

Today unprecedented efforts are being made to encourage sports and players, he said.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the Government's efforts to promote sports and players in India.

He said that today, India is recognising sports players from small villages.

"Today unprecedented efforts are being made to encourage sports and players. Khel India campaign is identifying sports talent from small villages. Facilities are being provided to the players from villages to the Olympics" he said.

The Prime Minister further spoke about the abrogation of Article 370.
"The entire country stands today along with Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. But some Congress leaders are busy spreading rumours about this decision in the country and the world," said Modi.

The Haryana BJP released its manifesto titled 'Mhare sapno ka Haryana' (my dreams of Haryana), in its manifesto the BJP has made a host of promises ranging from launching Haryana start-up mission, constitution of a new 'Yuva Vikas and Rozgar' ministry and one All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), doubling of farmers' income by 2022 and increase in pension.

The Legislative Assembly election will be held in Haryana on October 21 to elect 90 members.

The results will be announced on October 24.
