PM Modi likely to visit Assam on Jan 23
Guwahati/IBNS: To enhance the BJP’s target to win 100 plus seats in upcoming assembly polls in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would likely to visit Assam last week of this month.
PM Modi is likely to visit Assam on January 23 while Amit Shah to visit the poll-bound state on January 24.
Assam Finance minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the news.
“On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit the state on January 24. Shah will address two rallies in Kokrajhar and Nalbari,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
BJP national president JP Nadda on Monday had addressed a public rally called ‘Vijay Sankalpa Samabesh’ at police parade ground, Silchar in Assam’s Barak Valley.
Nadda also took part in several meetings with the party leaders in Guwahati on Monday evening.
BJP has set a target to win 100 seats in the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.
