PM Modi, Mamata Banerjee wish people on Poila Boishakh
New Delhi/Kolkata, Apr 15 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished all people on Poila Boishakh 1426 (Bengali New Year) on Monday.
The Prime Minister said: "Shubho Nabo Barsho! I pray that the year ahead is filled with joy. May everyone be blessed with good health."

Poila Boishakh is the first day of Bengali calendar.
Apart from West Bengal, Poila Boishakh is also celebrated in Odisha, Tripura and parts of Assam. It is celebrated in Bangladesh on Apr 14.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted, "Wishes and greetings to all people on Bengali New Year's day."
