PM Modi to address nation at 8:45 pm on Covid situation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8:45 pm on the coronavirus situation in the country.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on the COVID-19 situation at 8:45 this evening," the PMO tweeted.

In a grim situation, India recorded 1761 deaths due to Covid-19 between Monday and Tuesday mornings, a massive spike in the casualty figure registered in the country during the period of a single day, as per Ministry of Health released data. 

The country also recorded 2,59,170 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The total death toll due to the virus in the country now stands at 1,80,530.
