PM's address: CPI-M slams Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Dec 31 (IBNS): The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Saturday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his address following the completion of his 50th day since announcing the demonetisation move and said he is ignorant fo people's sufferings.

"Ppl sacrificed, ppl waited, ppl disappointed. No substance in speech,no apologies for >100 deaths,no info on what all this yielded #FlopModi," CPI-M leader Md Salim tweeted.

He said: "All bravado,all showbiz, no responsible reflection on disastrous implementation. PM unrepentant and ignorant on ppl's sufferings #FlopModi."

"New promises fail 2 turn attention away frm zero success of #Demonetisation Leaders take stock, move forward.This guy way off mark #FlopModi," the leader said.

"In 2016, PM promised millions of jobs. Failed. 2017 just starting & already he has taken away one job. That of our FM Arun Jaitley #FlopModi," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday delivered his televised address to the nation, fifty days after he announced the banning of old Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes on Nov 8.
