S M Krishna predicts that BJP will register clean victory in the LS elections
Bengaluru, Apr 3 (UNI) Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had left an impressive imprint in the last five years of his rule at the Center, Former External Affairs Minister and the BJP leader S M Krishna today predicted that BJP will come to power once again.
Speaking at 'Meet the Press' programme, organised by the Bengaluru Press club, here on Wednesday, he said, "I think Modi had left a favorable imprint on the people of the country, you may call it a awe or a favorable imprint".
Maintaining that BJP will retain power at the Center, Krishna said that 'India had achieved an all-round growth in the last five years and more is due under the next government".
Taking a dig at the AICC President Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress leader said that "ability to lead the country will not come from taking birth in a particular family and I was not supportive of dynastic politics. This drove me away from this party ".
Maintaining that he had joined the BJP, thanks to the Narendra Modi's leadership to the nation, Krishna said that "the dynastic culture may come to an end in India or not, but I supported Modi he does not support this family rule, nor do I ".
Appreciating that in the last five years the country did not hear about the corruption at the national level, he said that "Modi has provided a corruption-free and scam-free" government at the center.
"The country had witnessed a progressive economic development during Narendra Modi's government and the growth of GDP is also on higher side" he said.
Replying to a question, he said that he have plans to take part in the election campaign for the victory of the BJP candidates, he also said that "I will also go to Mandya where the BJP is extending support to independent candidate Sumalatha, widow of former Minister M H Ambareesh".
"There is a favorable atmosphere for Narendra Modi to come back to the seat power at the Center," he said.
