Saharanpur, Sep 23(UNI) A phone call claiming that a bomb has been planted in the 18478 Puri-bound Kaling-Utkal express train sent police into a tizzy on Monday morning.

After thorough checking of the train at Tapri station between Roorkee and Saharanpur, except for a unidentified bag, nothing could be traced out and the call turned out to be a hoax, police sources here said.

A youth, identified as Manoj, was detained by police as he had phoned the railways about the explosive in the train. Nothing incriminating was found inside the bag.

Source said after a 30 minute stoppage of the train, it was cleared for its onward journey.

But to the the security drill, several trains on the section were stopped at different stations.
