Supreme Court to hear Future's NPA plea on Monday
New Delhi/UNI: The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear on Jan 31 an urgent plea moved by business conglomerate, Future Group, seeking direction to restrain lenders from declaring the company a Non-Performing Asset (NPA), in connection with a default of around Rs 3,500 crore.
A bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana said: "It appears that we will have to create a special bench for you people."
The CJI also said the bench will also have to hear the other party in the case.
Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi appearing for the business house mentioned the matter for urgent hearing.
