Chhattisgarh: Active COVID-19 cases touch 884

Raipur/UNI: The number of active COVID-19 positive cases in Chhattisgarh rose to 884 on Wednesday after detection of 29 new COVID-19 (Corona virus) infected persons during last 12 hours.

According to information received from health department 26 out of 29 new patients belong to Janjgir whereas 2 patients belong Sarguja and 1 patient was found in Jashpur. Meanwhile 4 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.

Total 93059 suspected COVID -19 patients were identified in the state till yesterday evening and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 89914 of them tested negative whereas results of 1936 samples are awaited.

With detection of new patients Chhattisgarh has so far registered 1240 COVID-19 cases and 351 of them were discharged from hospitals after recovery. Five COVID-19 patients have also succumbed to illness in the state so far.
