Coronavirus: 2,528 people under observation in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Though no new positive case of Coronavirus was reported in Kerala on Wednesday, 2,528 people are placed under surveillance in the State, of which 93 are in the isolation wards in different hospitals across the State, Health Minister KK Shailaja said.

"Out of 223 blood samples sent to the Virology Institute in Alappuzha, the results of 193 tested negative. We are also awaiting for the lab reports of a few samples from the Pune Virology Institute," she said.

Two foreign tourists who reached in Kochi were placed under observation, she added.

Earlier, Health Minister KK Shailaja urged the Centre to provide more funds for setting up facilities in health centres to control the spread of deadly Novel Coronavirus in Kerala where three tested positive to the deadly disease.
