COVID-19: NZ reports no new case for 22 consecutive days

Wellington/UNI: New Zealand's Ministry of Health reported no new case of COVID-19 on Saturday, making this the 22nd consecutive day when no new case has been reported in the country.

Xinhua quoted the ministry saying that in total New Zealand has reported 1,154 confirmed cases till date while a total of 22 people have died due to the disease.

The country has seen 1,482 people recovering from the disease.

NZ COVID Tracer, which has been developed by the government to facilitate contact tracing and identification of cases, has till now recorded 552,000 registrations. The ministry of health encouraged citizens to download the app so as to ensure that all those who came in contact with Corona patients can be tested.
