Haryana records 266 fresh cases, tally 17,770

Chandigarh/UNI: Haryana registered 266 fresh cases on Tuesday, raising the infection tally to 17,770 in the state.

According to an official health bulletin, 75 have been reported from Gurugram district, 29 from Sonepat, 23 from Jhajjar, 21 from Panipat, 17 from Kurukshetra, 16 from Bhiwani, 15 from Palwal, 14 from Jind, 13 from Mahendergarh, 12 from Rohtak, ten each from Hisar and Rewari and one new case from Nuh and Panchkula districts.

Of the 276 fatalities till now, 101 deaths have been reported from Gurugram district, 95 from Faridabad, 20 from Sonepat, twelve from Rohtak, eight from Karnal, 7 each from Panipat and Hisar, 5 from Rewari, 4 each from Ambala, Jhajjar and Jind, 3 each from Bhiwani and Palwal, while 1 death each was reported from Nuh, Charkhi Dadri and Mahendergarh districts.

Gurugram district leads the number of infections in the state with 6133 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad 4,648, Sonepat 1577, Rohtak 772, Bhiwani 514, Karnal 421, Rewari 396, Palwal 379, Ambala 375, Jhajjar 372, Mahendergarh 310, Hisar 292, Panipat 267, Nuh 255, Kurukshetra 173, Sirsa 138, Jind 133, Fatehabad 129, Panchkula 124, Yamunanagar 121, Kaithal 119, Charkhi Dadri 87 and 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens.

Of the 3,19,667 samples, 17,770 have tested positive and 2,96,440 negative, while the results of 5,457 samples are awaited. There are 4,101 active cases in the state.

A total of 13,393 patients, including 5,011 from Gurugram, 3,714 from Faridabad, 1025 from Sonepat, 533 from Rohtak, 377 from Bhiwani, 315 from Ambala, 273 from Palwal, 249 from Karnal, 244 from Jhajjar, 231 from Mahendergarh, 194 from Hisar, 190 from Nuh, 155 from Panipat, 141 from Rewari, 115 from Kurukshetra, 106 from Panchkula, 102 from Fatehabad, 97 from Sirsa, 95 from Yamunanagar, 91 from Jind, 55 from Kaithal, 45 from Charkhi Dadri and all 21 US returnees have been discharged from hospitals so far.

As many as 1,09,867 patients have been put under surveillance till date, of which 62,276 have completed their surveillance period and only 47,591 patients continue to be under surveillance.
