Haryana records one Corona death, 123 fresh cases

Chandigarh/UNI: Haryana registered one more COVID-19 death and 123 fresh cases on Saturday, raising the death toll to 212 and the infection tally to 12,993 in the state.

According to an official health bulletin, the contagious virus has claimed one life in Jhajjar district Saturday.

Of the fresh cases, 65 have been reported from Gurugram district, 20 from Rohtak, 14 from Panipat, ten from Nuh, eight from Jhajjar and three new cases each from Panchkula and Yamunanagar districts.

Of the 212 fatalities till now, 81 deaths have been reported from Gurugram district, 70 from Faridabad, 15 from Sonepat, seven each from Rohtak and Panipat, six from Hisar, five from Karnal, four each from Rewari, Jhajjar and Jind, three each from Bhiwani and Ambala, two from Palwal, while one death was reported from Charkhi Dadri district.

Till now, Gurugram has reported the highest number of infections in the state with 5,009 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad 3,134, Sonepat 1094, Rohtak 523, Bhiwani 355, Ambala 309, Palwal 298, Karnal 269, Jhajjar 234, Rewari 221, Hisar 214, Mahendergarh 211, Nuh 177, Panipat 166, Kurukshetra 113, Panchkula 108, Jind 100, Fatehabad and Yamunanagar 98 each, Sirsa 94, Kaithal 78, Charkhi Dadri 69 and 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens.

Of the 2,44,534 samples, 12,993 have tested positive and 2,25,931 negative, while results of 5,596 samples are awaited. There are 4,717 active cases in the state. Among them, 53 are on the oxygen support system and 15 others on ventilators.

A total of 8,064 patients, including 3267 from Gurugram, 1735 from Faridabad, 665 from Sonepat, 462 from Rohtak, 220 from Ambala, 211 from Palwal, 162 from Karnal, 152 from Mahendergarh, 144 from Jhajjar, 143 from Nuh, 120 from Hisar, 107 each from Panipat and Bhiwani, 82 from Rewari, 78 from Fatehabad, 76 from Sirsa, 78 from Kurukshetra, 64 from Yamunanagar, 54 from Kaithal, 50 from Panchkula, 45 from Charkhi Dadri, 36 from Jind district and six US returnee Haryana citizens have been discharged from hospitals till now.

As many as 1,01,822 patients have been put on surveillance till date, of which 57,303 have completed their surveillance period and only 44,519 patients are under surveillance.

The total 12,993 positive cases exclude 14 Italian nationals. Thirteen of them had been discharged after their initial test was negative and one later tested negative for COVID-19. However, he died due to some other reason, the bulletin added.
