Maharashtra: Nashik reports 22 new corona cases
Nashik/UNI: Twenty-two new cases of coronavirus were identified and 5 more patients succumbed to death due to the disease in Nashik on Monday, taking overall number of infected persons in the district to 693 and 33 casualties.
Of the 295 new suspected patients, the swab report of 273 turned out negative, while 22 other tested positive for the virus, including two new-born babies from rural parts of district and 2 SRPF personnel from Malegaon, the latest official report released by district administration said here.
In Malegaon, the hotbed of the contagion, of 161 new suspected cases, the swab report of 147 came out negative, while 16 others tested positive including 2 SRPF personnel, taking total number of infected patients in town to 548 Meanwhile, 5 corona infected patients died while under treatment in general hospital at Malegaon
today, taking the toll in town to 31.
Till date, the district has witnessed 693 corona cases, amongst which 39 were detected in Nashik city, 85 in rural parts of district, 548 in Malegaon and 21 from out of district.
Similarly, of 33 casualties witnessed in the district till date, 31 were in Malegaon and 2 in Nashik city.
While, 72 infected patients have recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals in the district.
Now there are 588 active Corona cases in the district, the report added.
