Vietnam's COVID-19 cases increase to 260

Hanoi/Xinhua/UNI: Vietnam's Ministry of Health confirmed two new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total in the country to 260.

Both cases live in Ha Loi village on the outskirt of the capital city of Hanoi and are reportedly in contact with earlier confirmed cases, according to the ministry.

The village has been quarantined from Wednesday until May 6 after a villager was confirmed infected on Monday.

As of Sunday evening, Vietnam had detected 2,266 suspected cases with over 72,000 being monitored and quarantined, while 144 patients have recovered with no deaths reported in the country so far, according to the health ministry.
