Indian Market: Sensex crashed over 600 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex was in red for the fourth straight session on Monday as it fell by 677.62 pts to 59,958.39 in opening trade, as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too down by 195.65 pts at 17,569.15.

The sensex registered days high and low at 59,778.37 and 58,949.76 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 17,805.25 and 17,563.20 pts.

In 30 scrips, 4 advanced while 26 declined.

The losers were Bajaj finance by 4.46 pc to Rs 7157.80, Reliance Industries by 3.25 pc to Rs 2392.45, Titan by 2.68 pc to Rs 2412.90, Maruti Suzuki by 1.97 pc to Rs 7953.25 and SBI by 1.89 pc to Rs 494.45.

The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 4.31 pc to Rs 744.95, Asian Paints by 2.60 pc to Rs 3294.20, Powergrid by 1.33 pc to Rs 194.90 and TCS by 0.57 pc to Rs 3495.35.
