Ice-creamDay

Kolkata shares some ice cream love with the US

Kolkata/IBNS: We may not have a dedicated ‘ice cream day’ in India like the United States (US) does but we can always draw inspiration from the idea.

And that is exactly what a few outlets in Kolkata have decided to do.

The US celebrates its National Ice Cream Day on the third Sunday in July, which happens to be July 18 this year.

City-based food catering brand Paprika Gourmet is offering a special ice cream menu, including ice cream sandwiches, for July 18, which includes flavours such as Mango, Salted Caramel Brownie, Cinnamon, Banoffee, Mint and Oreo, Apple Crumble, Rose Petals, Double Chocolate, Orange Cheesecake, Nutella Sea Salt, Lotus Biscoff and Peanut Butter.

Same day, Octa is offering a specially curated ice cream menu which includes Baked Cheese Cake (New York style baked cheese cake, with chocolate sphere and vanilla ice cream), Brownie (warm fudgy chocolate brownie, topped with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream, and Lotus biscuit (Lotus biscuits, filled with vanilla ice cream and fresh mango).
