Guwahati, Apr 8 (IBNS): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi that why he had not constituted a probe into the matter after Chhattisgarh Chief Minister's son's name featured in the Panama Papers.

Addressing a campaign rally for second phase Assembly Poll in Assam's Kamalpur, Rahul Gandhi said that, Modi ji is silent about the matter.

“The Chhatisgarh CM’s son name featured in the Panama Papers, but PM Modi does not make a probe into the matter. Modi is still silent about the matter,” Rahul said.

Taking a dig at Modi, Rahul said that, "Modi ji promised before Lok Sabha polls in 2014 to bring back black money to the country."

“But he totally failed. He does not fulfill single a promise in past two years,” said he.

Attacking the Modi led Union government, the Congress vice president said that before escaping from the country Bijoy Mallya had met finance minister Arun Jaitley.
