Kolkata, Feb 1 (IBNS) : West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress made a clean sweep in the twin by- election for Noapara Assembly, and Uluberia Lok Sabha seats as it romped home with huge margins.

The TMC wrested Noapara while retaining the Uluberia seat.

In both the places, BJP emerged the main challenger, finishing second and the CPI(M) managing the third spot.

According to reports,  TMC candidate Sunil Singh won in Noapara  by a margin of 63,000 votes defeating his nearest BJP rival Sandip Banerjee.
