New Delhi, Dec 6 (IBNS): A 23-year-old woman was allegedly harassed and molested by an Ola cab driver in a deserted Bengaluru road late on Sunday night, media reports said.

The victim, who is a fashion stylist, said the driver had engaged the child lock to trap the woman in his car.

The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Sunday on the Ring Road in south east Bengaluru.

According to the woman, the driver suddenly stopped the car and started molesting her by touching her legs.

To her dismay, the woman's mobile battery had run out, and she couldn't call for help.

It was then she started banging the window following which the driver let her go.

She then ran few hundred meters until she could find an auto-rickshaw.

The driver reportedly kept calling her until she blocked her number.

She went to the police but decided not to file a First Information Report as the Ola cab driver had been warned.

The driver has also been "off-roaded" as per the standard procedure.
