Bengaluru, Sep 18 (IBNS): A late-night car race by three school boys on a highway of the city killed one and left two others injured, media reports said.

The incident occurred at 3 a.m. on Sunday.

All the three boys were driving their fathers' cars.

The boy, who was driving a Skoda, died on spot after crashing his car into the railing.

The two others, who were driving an Innova and another SUV, too lost control over the speed on the highway.

The boy who was riding an Innova has hit a lorry to receive injuries.

The police said all the teens have admitted that they were riding their cars at a speed of 150km/hr.

The fathers of the boys were arrested by the police.

A police officer told NDTV: "We have booked the fathers since the vehicles are registered in their name and it was their responsibility to keep the boys under check."
