Patna, July 28 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): A local court in Bihar on Saturday awarded life imprisonment to 14 persons in infamous Bhojpur hooch deaths which had claimed lives of 21 Dalits.

All the victims had died by consuming spurious liquor in December 2012.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramesh Chandra Dwivedi pronounced the judgment at a jam-packed court here.

All had been earlier found guilty under various sections of the IPC, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Excise Act.
