'Centre so scared': Arvind Kejriwal on Rahul Gandhi's disqualification from Lok Sabha
New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took swipes at the central government over the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha and said the Centre is so scared.
“Efforts are being made to destroy the country,” alleged Kejriwal.
In a speech in the Delhi Assembly House, Kejriwal alleged that a new trend has started after the arrest of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, AAP MLAs were being threatened one after another.
“Everyone be ready to go to jail, this is what they can do now. We will take care of your families,” said he.
Kejriwal said that in his speech Delhi Lieutenant Governor mentioned that his government has done a lot of work in education and health and has done the most development after independence.
He asked who benefited from stopping principals from going abroad by the LG.
“Amazing work has been done in the field of education. We only worked as facilitators. The real hard work was done by the teachers. This spirit in them came from training abroad. Some principals had to go abroad in December and March, which was stopped by the LG. Who benefited from this?”
Kejriwal said the Delhi government did so much good work despite several obstacles created by LG.
“Now LG is trying hard to stop electricity subsidy, and we are fighting against it,” Kejriwal claimed in the Delhi Assembly House. He offered LG to come together to work for Delhi’s development.
