New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS) The opposition Congress on Monday attacked the ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) inside Parliament for a National Security Advisors level talks between India and Pakistan in Bangkok on Sunday, allegedly in a hush hush manner.
Congress demanded a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on talks on Sunday holding that why it was held in Bangkok and not in India or Pakistan if it was meant to improve relations.
"Parliament should have been informed and still should be informed regarding the whole matter," Congress MP Anand Sharma said.
Outside Parliament, Congress senior leader Digvijaya Singh said if the government is keen to improve India and Pakistan relations then it should hold talks in India or Pakistan and not in Bangkok, adding that such a move of peace talks is wholeheartedly supported by Congress.
