Poonch/J&K: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) RP Range, Mohd Haseeb Mughal, delivered an extensive presentation to police officers in Jammu and Kashmir, to address the growing security concerns surrounding drones.

The presentation aimed to equip officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to tackle the increasing threat of drones infiltrating the border state.

During the presentation, Mughal provided a comprehensive overview of drones, including their various types, uses, and the underlying technology behind them.

He also showcased pictures, videos, and documentaries that illustrated the potential dangers and challenges posed by drones. To provide a realistic understanding of the issue, officers were shown drone droppings in border areas, allowing them to grasp the gravity of the situation, reports ANI.

The discussion also focused on mitigation strategies to counter drone-related challenges, ensuring officers were well-prepared to handle field investigations.

Mughal emphasized the importance of taking precautions while handling drones, particularly in terms of identification, preservation, and collection of forensic evidence.

He underscored the need for officers to stay up-to-date with the evolving nature of border issues concerning drone dropping and related crimes.
