Four army men killed in Jammu and Kashmir road accident

Srinagar, Dec 1 (IBNS): At least four army men were killed while another seriously injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Banihal area of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

According to reports and police, five army jawans were headed to Jammu from Kashmir in a car (bearing registration number JK 02 N 6332).

The vehicle met with an accident near Shatani nallah.

"Driver of the car lost control and fell into deep george resulting in the death of four jawans on spot while another was seriously injured who was later shifted to Banihal hospital," said police officer who was monitoring the situation.

The deceased were identified as Pawan Kumar ,Vijay Kumar, and Omparkash, all residents of Jammu.

The injured soldier was identified as Joginder Pal of Kathua.

All the soldiers, according to the official, were posted in Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
