G20 Summit in Jammu and Kashmir: DFRAC debunks Pakistani Twitter handles’ fake claims on Saudi Arabia, Indonesia
Jammu and Kashmir is all set to host a crucial G20 meeting in the upcoming days but several Twitter handles have already started to operate to spread false information about the event and disrupt it.
The G20 Summit is going to be the first major event to be hosted in Jammu and Kashmir ever since the scrapping of Article 370 took place in 2019.
After Türkiye and China, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are also likely to boycott G-20 summit happening in disputed Kashmir's territory. ✌️

According to Digital Forensics, Research and Analytics Center website, several Twitter users from Pakistan, which include journalists and media organizations, have tweeted that Indonesia and Saudi Arabia would not participate in the event.
Karachi-based actress Sehar Shinwari tweeted: "After Türkiye and China, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are also likely to boycott G-20 summit happening in disputed Kashmir's territory."
In another tweet, the Twitter user wrote: "Before hosting G-20 summit in IIOJ&K, Modi Sarkar must not forget that Pakistan is the seventh largest military power in the world with nuclear power and they know very well how to protect their territory from aggressors and occupiers."
My sources tell me China and Turkey are not attending G20 meeting in Srinagar. Almost all other countries are sending their Delhi-based diplomats to the meeting. I expect Saudi Arabia and Indonesia to also show solidarity with Kashmiris.

Retired Pakistani diplomat Abdul Basit said: "Glad to know that Saudi Arabia along with China and Turkey has not registered for the G20 meeting in Srinagar. What about others who don’t tire of talking about a rules-based world order? How come a country that blatantly violates UNSC resolutions has been invited to G7 summit?"
Earlier, he had tweeted: "My sources tell me China and Turkey are not attending G20 meeting in Srinagar. Almost all other countries are sending their Delhi-based diplomats to the meeting. I expect Saudi Arabia and Indonesia to also show solidarity with Kashmiris."
Similar tweet was posted by another group named South Asia Index: " In a set back to India, China and Turkey likely to skip G20 meeting being held in disputed Kashmir region."

Another Twitter handle, World Times said: " China and Turkey likely to skip G20 meeting being held in disputed Kashmir region. China’s choice appears to be related to Pakistan’s objections, a close friend, while Turkey has questioned India’s handling of the Kashmir crisis in the past. Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are also expected to not attend G20 meeting in the disputed Kashmir region. "

A Twitter handle named Infocus Pakistan said: " In a set back to #India, China and Turkey likely to skip G20 meeting being held in disputed Kashmir region. #Indonesia and #SaudiArabia are also expected to not attend G20 meeting in the disputed #Kashmir region."
However, DFRAC conducted a fact check, and in its report rejected claims made by the Twitter handles and wrote on its website: "It is clear from DFRAC's fact check that the claim of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia not attending the G-20 meeting in Kashmir is false."
