New Delhi, Aug 13 (IBNS): The Centre is keen to hold elections in 11 states along with the 2019 general polls, media reports quoting sources in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed on Monday.

The party is also considering the possibility of deferring assembly elections of some states by a few months, said reports.

Elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan are slated to be held later this year.

According to reports, the party is thinking of clubbing their elections with those of Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram and Odisha, scheduled to be held with the 2019 general elections.

The government might call an all-party meeting on the issue soon.
