India appoints Gautam H. Bambawale as next High Commissioner to Pakistan
New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS): India on Wednesday appointed Gautam H. Bambawale as the country's new High Commissioner to Pakistan, officials said.
"Shri Gautam H. Bambawale, (lFS: 1984), presently Ambassador of lndia to Royal Government of Bhutan, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of lndia to the lslamic Republic of Pakistan," India's Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
He is expected to take up his assignment shortly, the Ministry said.
