Lahore/New Delhi, Apr 12 (IBNS) Kirpal Singh, an Indian national, who had been in a Pakistan jail for 20 years, died on Monday under mysterious circumstances, reports said.

Singh, 50, had allegedly crossed Wagah border into Pakistan in 1992 and was arrested. He was  sentenced to death in a serial bomb blasts case in Pakistan's Punjab province.

He was found dead at his cell in Lahore jail.

In New Delhi, Dalbir Kaur, sister of Sarabjit Singh, another Indian prisoner in Pakistan who was murdered by his fellow prisoners in April 2013, has has alleged that Kirpal Singh too has been murdered.

"Kirpal Singh ki hatya hui hai, maut nahi," (Kirpal Singh has been murdered. His death isn't normal), she said while speaking to media. She alleged that Kirpal met the same fate as that of Sarabjit.
