Iran an important partner and neighbour of India, says Prez Mukherjee

New Delhi, Mar 21 (IBNS) Greeting Iran on the occasion of Navroj on Monday, the Iranian and Persian new year, President Pranab Mukherjee said that the neighbouring country is an important partner of India in terms of trade.

President Mukherjee said, "Warm greetings and best wishes to Government and people of Iran on the joyous occasion of Nouroz."

"Iran is an important neighbour and partner of India in trade and economic cooperation," the President said.

He said that India is looking to have a developed relation with Iran in multiple areas.

"India looks forward to further developing its collaborative partnership with Iran across diverse areas."
