ISI module in Kolkata: Police raid suspected ISI agent's residence in Howrah

Kolkata, Dec 7 (IBNS): The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police on Monday conducted raid in the residence of a suspected ISI (Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence) linkman at Tikiapara area in Howrah district of West Bengal, police sources said.

According to sources, acting on a tip off, the STF raided the house of one suspected ISI linkman- Md. Elias Ansari- at Tikiapara Hamid Munshi Lane area in Howrah district.

"After interrogating ISI agents Md. Jehangir and Seikh Badal, who were nabbed earlier from Khidderpore and Brabourne Road area in Kolkata respectively, we got information about suspected ISI linkman Md. Elias Ansari, who used to provide fake passports to the ISI agents, and conducted raid in his residence," one senior officer of Kolkata Police STF told IBNS.

However, police could not catch Md Elias. His family claimed that he was staying in Germany with his wife since last six months.

The STF has seized few fake passports, hard discs and CDs from his house and detained his brother Md. Faruque for interrogation.

"We are not ready to believe right now that Elias is staying in Germany. We have started investigation. We also have another concern that Elias and his wife might be fled to Germany or another country with fake passports," the officer further said.
