It is not a issue to be playing politics : Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma tells on IAF air strike

Guwahati, Mar 6 (IBNS): While politics turned ugly over the Indian Air Force (IAF) airstrike on Pakistan as the different political parties questioned about the airstrike proof, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday said that it is not a issue to be playing politics.

Conrad said that he doesn’t want to be part of this kind of discussions going on.

The Meghalaya CM said that at any given points when it comes to national security, 'we need to come to be with our armed forces and standing behind them'.

“I don’t think it’s correct for us to dilute the issue like this. Every citizen, every political party, every politician must stand behind the armed forces. This is not an issue to be playing politics with. It is a national security issue. I don’t want to be part of this kind of discussions going on where we are diluting the work, commitment and sacrifice made by our armed forces,” Conrad said.
