Jammu and Kashmir: Drug peddler arrested in Srinagar outskirts
Srinagar, Mar 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a drug peddler and recovered codeine phosphate at Nishat area of Dal Lake in this summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesperson said here on Wednesday.
According to the spokesperson, the accused was identified as Parveez Ahmad Dar, resident of Latar Masjid Safakadel.
''Police Station Nishat seized 68 bottles of 100 ml codeine phosphate from a car, which were kept hidden in a bag. The drugs were to be sold among the youth of Nishat and adjoining areas,'' said the spokesperson.
An FIR was registered and investigation taken up, he added.
