Jharkhand CM distributes Rs 1 lakh each among Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims

Ranchi, Mar 4 (UNI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said India was a spiritual and religious land and according importance to all the religions.

The state government has started Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana under which the economically weak are being taken to the important religious places of the country, he said.

He said as part of the initiative the state government had announced to provide a help of Rs 1 lakh each to the people who would be going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the state and the same promise was now being fulfilled, he said while distributing the money among the pilgrims during a function which was organised at his residence here.

The Chief Minister said so far 5,000 people have taken advantage of Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana.

Das also asked the people to spread awareness among the people of their area over the policies and welfare schemes of the state government as it is the priority for him to ensure that maximum people are able to take advantage of the government schemes.

He also extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
