J&K: Batamaloo encounter leaves one cop martyred, three jawans injured
Srinagar, Aug 12 (IBNS): A cop died and three security personnel have been injured as an encounter broke out in the wee hours of Sunday at Batamaloo area in Srinagar.
According to police, a search operation was launched over an information about the presence of terrorists in a hideout in Batamaloo.
The operation led to exchange of fires between the security forces and the terrorists.
The operation left one SOG martyred while three other jawans received injuries.
The area has been cordoned off as search operation continues.
On a specific information about presence of terrorists in a hideout, an operation was launched in Batmaloo Srinagar leading to exchange of fire, one SOG boy martyred, one JKP & 2 CRPF Jawans sustained injuries, operation continues.
