J&K: FIR against those who failed to deposit arms ahead of polls

Jammu, Mar 30 (UNI): The Kishtwar district magistrate has directed all the licensed weapon holders to deposit their weapons at their local police stations.

Since the last date for deposition of such weapons has expired, under the supervision of the deputy police superintendent DAR Kishtwar Adil Rishu, inspector Suraj Pathnia of police staion Chatroo lodged two FIRs against Abdul Rehman of Chatroo, Mangat Ram of Thalwal, Krishan Lal of Khawra, Ghulam Hussain, Nazir Ahmed, Abdul Ganim, all residents of Kuchal for not depositing their licensed weapons in concerned Police Station, thus violating the DM Kishtwar's orders.

The police spokesman said investigation of the case was going on and Kishtwar police was identifying more such people who were yet to deposit their weapons.
